ARWEO is in continuous efforts to increase the capacity of its staff to be able to successfully handle its projects. Working with different donor agencies, ARWEO has to comply with the rules, regulations, and requirements of all the respected donor agencies and it is therefore essential to enable its staff to be able to successfully fulfill all the requirements.
For this purpose, ARWEO plans the following set of activities:

  • Provision of capacity development training to ARWEO’s staff in the center and in regional and local offices in the areas of office management, financial management, human resources management, Usage of QuickBooks, report and proposal writing, fundraising, communication, coordination as well as other training programs that depends on the type of program/project our staff is involved in.
  • Establishing a shared drive system through which the regional offices will be able to get the required info, formats, etc. in seconds that will save time and increase work efficiency.
  • Modifying and redesigning ARWEO’s website to include data on every project that is undertaken with its outcomes.
  • Expansion of programs and services to another part of the country to cover those provinces where ARWEO has not done anything as yet.
  • Expansion of scope of work
  • Strengthening the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit to be able to better perform its work trace our program’s objectives and outcomes and match them with the planned outputs/outcomes to see if the projects’ activities are going as planned.
  • Strengthening the Women Development and Gender Unit to enable them to conduct their work effectively and efficiently.
  • To strengthen the capacity of the human resources department to be able to successfully evaluate the performances of all ARWEO’s employees on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis and to send their performance evaluation reports to the director or assistant director where the promotion/demotion decision will be made based on the performance of the concerned employee.
  • Strengthen communication and coordination between ARWEO’s head office and regional offices
  • Enhance coordination between projects to avoid any kind of duplication.
  • To strengthen the capacity development initiatives across ARWEO and its registered local organizations to enable them to successfully perform their duties and help in the satisfaction of the civil society.
