ARWEO’s capacity-building strategy addresses civil society organizations (CSOs), women’s and youth organizations, councils, disability-related organizations and unions, local government bodies, community development councils, and individual community members. ARWEO provides capacity-building training to these entities in areas such as organizational development, advocacy, civic education, conflict resolution, media, policy formulation, gender equality, proposal writing, financial management, human resource management, communications, research, and National Action Plans.
…[areas such as] Women of Afghanistan (NAPWA), the Afghanistan National Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities (ANDAP), the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), office management, report writing, fundraising, and any other capacity-building activities required to help the community enhance its ability to function effectively and fulfill its obligations toward Afghan civil society. In addition to the above, ARWEO offers scholarship programs and internship opportunities for young people—including university students and graduates—enabling them to gain valuable practical experience while working with ARWEO or its registered civil society organizations, learning how to overcome organizational challenges and resolve various issues.
