Cultural and Recreational Media Activities ARWEO organizes various sports activities for able-bodied people and people with disabilities. ARWEO’s media department produces television dramas for broadcast on various television and radio channels in Afghanistan. ARWEO covers the following set of activities in the field of cultural and recreational media: Production of television dramas focusing on the promotion of human rights, women’s rights and the rights of people with disabilities Organizing roundtables on radio and television channels to discuss various problems and challenges faced by local communities. Producing the quarterly magazine Daley (The Gift), which is a useful tool for informing people about the rights and responsibilities of different groups in society, including the government. Encouraging educated youth to write articles to be published in the Daily magazine. Arranging sports activities including football, volleyball, wheelchair basketball and cricket for able-bodied people and people with disabilities Organizing a cycling race for people with disabilities on December 3rd of every year, which is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Organizing debate and poetry sessions to encourage the youth of the country.
